Mana Addicts 2024-25 EDH League Format / Guidelines
Format
- Each player will submit 5 commanders per month
a. The commanders are locked, the lists are not. This means you may make changes
to the lists mid month. Please update lists when you do to keep it as an even field - Before each game every player will have a deck “striked” from their options on the night.
a. Example: I have decks A, B, C, D, and E. The other three players agree to vote
out deck A, so I will not be able to play deck A that night. - A deck cannot be striked out out back to back nights. This will be tracked by the
tournament manager
a. Example: Last week I had deck A striked out for the night. This week deck A
cannot be voted out. - The deck to strike out will be voted on by each player
a. Example: I have deck A, B, C, D, and E. Player 1 votes to strike deck A. Player 2
votes to strike deck C. and Player 3 votes to strike deck A. The vote is 2 for A and
1 for C. A has a majority vote, so it is striked out. - The majority vote on the deck wins. If the votes is spread 1 for each deck, then the owner
makes a decision on what to strike
a. Example: I have deck A, B, C, D, and E. Player 1 votes to strike deck A. Player 2
votes to strike deck B. and Player 3 votes to strike deck C. The vote is 1 for A, 1
for B, and 1 for C. This is a dead tie, so the owner of the decks gets to decide if
they want to strike out A, B, or C. - Each deck will have a “number” given by the owner, and the players will roll a d4 to
decide. - Players must play the deck they roll, regardless of whether or not they played it
previously - Commander Damage is live
- Points will be awarded in golf scoring
a. So 4 th gets 4, 3rd 3, etc.
b. If a combo kill happens, knockouts will go in turn order
c. We will track quarter and yearly points
d. Lowest points each quarter win the quarter, and lowest total over the year win
yearly - If you draw a hand with no lands you get a “Shandy”
a. This is a free mulligan, and the other players get the option to use it as well - Deck roll will be decided by standings, lowest on the night gets first roll
a. If there is a tie, roll off for it - Every 3rd night of league play will be a 2 Headed Dragon night.
- 1st and 4th place going into the night will be paired together, and 2nd and 3rd will be paired together.
- 1d6 roll off to see who goes first
- The scoring for these night will be:
- Team who wins: 1pt per player
- Team who loses: 2pt per player
- Rules and layout:
- 60 life per team
- 42 commander damage per team (combined total, only tracking one set of commander damage)
- 10 infect per team
Guidelines
- Monthly fee of $10 per player is due on the 1st of the month. Winner of each quarter will
get $120 store credit at Deal Me In Games
a. If you need a delay or are having issues coming up with this we can work
something out. I do not want to cause discourse or lose friends over money. - Commanders need to be submitted by the 1st of the month
a. Lienance for this depending on when the end of the month falls - You must own a single copy of ½ of the non-land card in your deck
a. Proxies are a full send for owned and not owned, you just must own a physical
copy of half of the non-land cards in the deck
b. Lands are allowed to be proxied
c. Gold bordered cards count as real
d. Lands you must own to proxy: Gaea’s Cradle, The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale - All proxies must be printed
a. Handwritten proxies are going to be hard to read in person or remote, and will not
show up in the card reader. If printed with fake front, it will be legible at least - If a player(s) miss a week then it is on them and the rest will continue to play.
a. Remote play is an option but must be a majority vote, playmats must be fully
visible, cards must be 90% legible.

Admendments
- The start time for league is 6:00pm, with a 6:15 at the latest start time. If you miss this window, you will miss the first game.
- If this occurs on a 2HD night, the group onsite will vote to play the night starting traditional, or vote to push the 2HD night to another night.
- Added 10.15.24
- If this occurs on a 2HD night, the group onsite will vote to play the night starting traditional, or vote to push the 2HD night to another night.
- If you miss a game or games, you will not be penalized on score, nor will you benefit. The scoring will then be determined off of “Par Scoring” for the league.
- This is just like golf, you will need to “shoot” below par more than the rest of the field
- Each traditional game counts as 2.5 par, and each 2HD is 1.5 par
- Your par will adjust to the number of games you participate in
- Example:
- Player A has played 6 traditional games for a par of 15 and has a score of 12; sitting at -3 below par
- Player B has played 4 traditional games, for a par of 10 and has a score of 8; sitting at -2 below par
- Player A would rank higher here due to him being further below par, even though his score is 4 higher than Player B
- Added 10.15.24
- Tie-Breaker for Quarter Cups

- The second breaker will be a 60 card precon Best of 3
